This week I worked with Justin, we discussed my style and he made this beat based on what was said, using artists such as Pinkii as a reference. The track is very well produced and very high energy so I needed some lyrics that fit this. I used a rap style for this song and decided the story would be a girl taking drugs to cover her sadness and sleeping with guys to distract her. Because of the way it is presented it makes the listener think this is just a fun song about pills and sex but listening to the lyrics more closely you get a deeper story. I had an idea to moan along with the synth drops during the breakdown in a sexual style, adding to the beat and rhythm of the song in an interesting way and adding a contrasting texture; this was a good idea but I do not think I executed it perfectly. Overall this song is an okay track, not my favourite but still good. I feel it could be developed in to something really good, as this is a demo I do think you can hear the general idea behind the song and what it could be.
